Why not start the day with some healthy french toast?
Well French toast in liquid form, really. Heavy meals like pancakes and French toast never really inspire me to munch down first thing in the morning. Love the taste but not the way you feel after... I'm very much a morning person and carb-heavy stuff just makes me feel sluggish!
When you want to pop up and take on the world with bounds of energy, who wants to be in a carb-coma?
This is my delicious substitute, the French Toast smoothie!
- 2 bananas
- 1 tsp flax seeds
- 2 tsp Connect Foods Raw Organic Maca Powder
- 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk
- Handful of pecans/walnuts
Add lots of ice, blend and enjoy!
