This smoothie is geared toward the ladies, yet is delicious and nutritious for everyone! Not only are they high in vitamins and fibre, raspberries are also rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients. These are all incredibly beneficial factors to strengthening the immune system, effectively aiding in fighting disease.

For women, raspberries and using the leaf in teas has been proven to help regulate menstrual cycles and decrease excessively heavy menstrual flows. For lactating mothers, tea or fruit will also help increase milk production.

They also have a high concentration of ellagic acid, a compound that has been known to stop the growth of cancer cells and aid cancer prevention.

This recipe has great fats, heaps of antioxidants, and also includes Connect Foods organic cacao powder. Those chocolate cravings once a month aren't for nothing! Cacao is high in magnesium and iron, which also helps aid in easing menstruation frustration.

Put these two amazing flavours together and you have yourself a super smoothie that creates ease in the body and supports so many functions. Enjoy these flavours as your body enjoys the benefits!
